Urethane Vacuum heads are used in industrial applications where plastic or rubber will fail. Urethane is an ideal choice of material for this high abrasion as it will absorb an impact and return to its original size. These urethane vacuum heads are critical for the operation of the machine when it’s in production. Most polyurethane vacuum heads we currently cast are for extreme applications like dredging machines and wood chip processing equipment. Plan Tech was recently awarded thousands of urethane vacuum heads for a center vacuum manufacturer and is one of the largest producers in the United States.
Open casting urethane vacuum heads were selected for this application due to being easily molded into almost any shape with excellent physical properties. Urethane is extremely abrasion resistant even under extreme pressures. Plan Tech will help design and makes all of their own molds for high volume sales with a rapid turn around. We also make our own inserts or cores if required. When an insert is required for urethane vacuum heads Plan Tech has a state of the art clean room to bond urethane to any type of metal to ensure a bond strength that does not leak or break. Depending on the thickness of the vacuum heads the material can hold up to an immense amount of force or vacuum applied to the urethane structure. Company logos or any other design may also be added to custom tooling to produce high-quality urethane vacuum heads for any application. A variety of colors and additives may also be added, our most popular additive for this application is an anti-static additive that will aid in reducing static electricity.
Whether you are a start-up company or global leader, we can add value to your urethane vacuum heads and other cast urethane products with our strong engineering support, polyurethane application experience and constant focus on meeting all delivery requirements.
