Plan Tech, Inc. selected to produce thousands of bumpers for an assembly manufacturer

LOUDON, NH., November 14, 2017 — Plan Tech, Inc. selected to produce thousands of bumpers for an assembly manufacturer. These bumpers are critical for the operation of the machine when in operation. As the machine is in operation the bolt will slide back and eject the part being slamming into a medium hardness urethane bumper that will absorb the impact and return to its original size.

Since these special rings needed to be molded to be cost-effective Plan Tech designed a compression mold capable of producing hundreds of urethane rings of tight tolerances with a rapid turn around. Originally our customer was using a rubber bumper that was not holding up to the abuse that the machine produced. During testing, our customer found Plan Tech’s extensive molding experience and high-performance materials to outperform the original bumpers by 300%. While the rubber bumper worked for many years in a smaller application we have since won the business of all the existing bumpers due to the incredible ability of high-performance urethane and Plan Techs capability of compression molding bumpers of all sizes with rapid turn around.

We can incorporate additives that will increase abrasion resistance and add lubricity to keep products from sticking. An Anti-static additive is also common to reduce any static build up from sliding friction.
