Plan Tech, Inc. selected to produce thousands of custom polyurethane sheets

LOUDON, NH., February 19, 2019 —Plan Tech, Inc. selected to produce thousands of custom polyurethane sheets. These special sheets have a required surface finish and Pantone color. Custom polyurethane sheets are often produced from a dedicated mold depending on the shape and size. These custom polyurethane sheets hold a tight tolerance on all the molded surfaces. The design of these custom urethane sheets was based on the larger assembly that will be placed on these sheets as a display item.

Polyurethane sheets are available in all special profiles or durometers and sizes. Most polyurethane sheets have a low tooling start-up cost that is capable of yielding high runs of production parts. polyurethane sheets can handle high loads, high compression with long-term run durability.

A variety of additives can be added to enhance wear properties or abrasion resistance. We can provide any hardness needed for your application or requirements. Custom sizes of polyurethane sheets are no problem for us here at Plan Tech. We offer a variety of color pigment options. Custom cast polyurethane sheets are used in many different applications including display cabinets. Polyurethane’s have superior properties over rubber products. They also can be molded into custom designs to suit your urethane bushings application requirements.

Since plastic and rubber are biodegradable they are more susceptible to deterioration over time. Polyurethane is stronger and can last for the lifetime of your application. Plan Tech VP Engineering, Kevin Healy said, “This was a challenging design concept and matching a Pantone color was no easy match. We were able to make an edge pour custom sheet mold all in-house from designs of the larger assembly to make a negative from that for the custom sheet mold, production parts were cast and it matched perfectly within 4 weeks”
