Urethane has great abrasion resistance and excellent load bearing performance. Our custom urethane impact bars will even hold up to the harshest environment like being media blasted. Typically urethane impact bars are made from a high-quality 90A ester based TDI resin. Plan Tech has a variety of additives that can be added to enhance wear properties, add lubricity, UV stabilized, flame retardant, or to reduce static build up.

Polyurethane impact bars are common in the paper industry and have found their way into many other industries requiring high loads or applications that have repeated abuse or abrasion like  die cutting. Urethane has a unique ability to absorb an impact and return to its original shape even after years of repeated impacts and abuse. Many other applications include boat ramps, loading docks, Go-Karts and race tracks. Polyurethane impact bars can be as small as 1/4’’ thick or as thick as 6 inches and 140’’ long! All of our impact bars are available in all colors and all durometers.

We can also fabricate custom cores that may be molded inside the urethane impact bar. This will add extra strength to the bar and makes it easy to bolt on exciting equipment.
