Urethane snow combs are an excellent choice due to urethanes incredible ability to handle abuse like grooming over rocks and other sharp objects that would normally rip and tear traditional rubber combs. Steel snow combs are often too heavy for local ski resorts that require grooming tight areas with smaller equipment. Steel or other materials will often stick to the snow when parked causing the comb to freeze to the surface creating a head ace for the operator and equipment. Also our snow combs are about seven times lighter than steel; this weight reduction helps the equipment from being overworked and makes operation the equipment smoother. Urethane will help dampen the vibration and absorb the shock of hitting objects like rocks where steel combs would radiate the shock though the equipment.

Polyurethane snow combs are also cheaper to manufacture vs. welding and machining of metal parts that can be time-consuming and expensive to fabricate. Our urethane snow combs have made it possible for cross country ski trails to stay open longer during the ski season due to the ease of grooming the trails with little effort. Our polyurethane snow combs bolt on in the original location the factory comb was located or we can make a custom comb to suit your needs. Typical urethane snow combs are made from a 90A high-quality ester based TDI raw material that will hold up best in cold environments.
