Urethane check valve balls often times are supplied in an 80A-75D durometer and a variety of additives can be added to enhance wear properties, add lubricity, UV stabilized, flame retardant, or to reduce static build up. Advantages of urethane check valve balls are that they provide outstanding abrasion and chemical resistance. Urethane is also non-marking and had noticeable noise reduction vs other similar materials. Other polyurethane check valve balls sizes can also be custom molded solid for applications where a solid urethane ball is needed.
