Urethane pipe rollers are also known as pipeline urethane rollers helps protect the exterior of pipe coatings or jacket during crossing installations for crossings and reduces drag/pulling forces substantially. Typically urethane pipe rollers are mounted to a steel thru shaft with pillow bearings attached to a fixture to carry loads upwards of 3 tons in a V groove profile for any size pipe.
Being v-grooved will allow for multiple size pipe to be carried by our urethane pipe rollers. Plan Tech’s special formula of urethane for pipe rollers does not flat spot if left loaded and will have a much greater service life vs OEM rollers with the options of additives to enhance performance and physical properties of the urethane material. Most common additives for urethane pipe rollers is called Armorglide that will add lubricity to the urethane material as it wears and increase tear resistance. Armorglide also helps keeps the urethane pipe rollers clean for a smooth operation.
Most pipe rollers do not require a tooling charge to get started as Plan Tech will typically machine each roller instead of molding. High volume urethane pipe rollers are molded to yield hundreds of rollers each week with little to none secondary operation needed to provide high-quality rollers to almost any tight tolerance. Prototype pipe urethane rollers can be also produced in low volume for any custom or special application.
