Urethane Rub Strips – Polyurethane Rub Strips

Urethane rub strips are also commonly called urethane wear strips and act as a buffer between two objects since urethane has a great ability to only absorb an impact and return to its original size. Urethane rub strips also reduce vibration with a long service life due to additives like Armorglide and Molly oil that is mixed into the urethane material evenly.

As the urethane rub strip wears, additives like armorglide or moly will continue to add lubricity and abrasion resistance throughout the life of the urethane rub strips. High strength or bolt-on applications often times have a steel insert or bar molded into the rub strip for added strength as a medium hard durometer is recommended for maximum service life and vibration control. Plan Tech has a full in-house machine shop ready to make a mold to match any profile needed for a truly custom urethane rub strip or we can reverse engineer an exciting part to reproduce high-quality rub strips often times hundreds less than OEM parts with the ability to tailor any physical property or color of the urethane material.
