Urethane sleeved rollers are cast directly to steel cores or for a slip of fit applications. Custom cast to any length under 4’ Plan Tech can rapidly produce urethane sleeved rollers to tight tolerances for the most demanding applications. Our largest customer for urethane sleeved rollers manufacturers conveyor belt systems and purchases sleeved rollers with a taper to allow to keep the belt centered.
Our urethane material is supplied from world leaders in the polyurethane and chemical industry. Each batch of polyurethane is hand mixed and cast before the final inspection. Being able to open cast urethane sleeved rollers allows Plan Tech to modify our custom cast rollers to each individual application rather than buying from a catalog. Color, size hardness or any custom profile can be achieved with Plan Techs 30+ years of knowledge of urethane manufacturing. Most urethane sleeved rollers consist of a steel core that will be media blasted before chemically bonded. Each of the urethane sleeved rollers will be over-molded to allow for machining. Plan Tech has specialized equipment on site to tackle machining urethane sleeved rollers with custom profiles or straight rollers. We can also provide the cores for a complete replacement roller or we can strip off any previously coated sleeved roller and recover.
Our engineering department can turn your idea, sketch, drawing or CAD file into urethane sleeved rollers. We will reverse engineer to recreate any urethane part for production or one-off urethane pieces.The engineering department utilizes SolidWorks and our machine shop uses CAMWorks for 3 axis milling. Our equipment includes CNC mills, lathes, polyurethane grinders as well as a state of the art urethane waterjet cutting machine. Secondary equipment includes sheet metal, welding, grinding, automated cutoff, broaching and more. We offer complete manufacturing capability for the inserts or cores required for urethane rollers, wheels, bearings and all of your custom urethane parts.
