Urethane valve inserts manufactured by Plan Tech is designed to meet all the demanding drilling conditions in virtually any industry today. Our urethane valve inserts are cast with precision to minimize flow restriction and fluid turbulence. During production special care is taken for the dimensional matching of the valve and other components. This ensures a very high life and performance even under severe working conditions.
Our urethane valve inserts are made out of high-quality polyurethane material capable of operating in extreme fluid temperatures of up to 220˚F. They are also resistant to tear, abrasion, corrosion, extrusion and are compatible with most of the chemicals in the drilling industry. It is important to note that directly casting the urethane valve insert on the valve body results in a perfect round shape, which in turn prevents premature failures of the insert during operation. Our urethane valve insert is also casted around the serrations, this procedure utterly eliminates failure due to tears from the serrations and most importantly the valve insert is not stretched over the valve during installation, which means there are no residual stresses left, to shorten the valve insert life.
